Lansdale Motor Lodge Robbed
Towamencin Township Police are looking for a man who held up the Lansdale Motor Lodge, on Sumneytown Pike next to the Pennsylvania Turnpike interchange, early Thursday.
They say he entered the lobby shortly before 1:00am, asked the night clerk about vacancies, and then pulled a handgun and a hammer and demanded money. He emptied the cash drawer and took a purse containing a wallet, car keys, a Pennsylvania driver’s license and a debit card. He put the cash in a pillow case that he stole from the motel and fled on foot. He was described as a stocky white man in his 30’s, about five-foot-nine with short, reddish goatee-style facial hair. He was wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt, gray ski cap and blue jeans. Anyone with information about the robbery should call Towamencin Township Police at 215-368-7606.
