Guns, Drugs, Body Armor Land Man In Prison
A man found guilty of possessing guns, drugs and illegal body armor in Towamencin Township has been given 8 ½ to 17 years in state prison.
30-year-old William Bowie was arrested last June at the Forge Gate Apartments on Snyder Road. Prosecutors say he had a fugitive traveler’s bag with two guns, ammunition, military-issue smoke and signal flares and marijuana, and a police-grade bulletproof vest hanging in a closet. His arrest resulted from an investigation by New York City police into a home-invasion robbery and shooting that happened early last year. They tracked him down by following his activity on a social networking website.
