A Lansdale man who served jail time for stealing thousands of dollars from a partially paralyzed Hatfield man has admitted violating his parole by possessing firearms.
Police found three handguns and 12 long guns last month at 46-year-old John Pallante’s North Cannon Avenue home. He is being held without bail at Montgomery County Prison pending sentencing for the parole violation. A county court jury convicted him of felony theft and conspiracy in the original case in September of 2009. His former roommate and co-conspirator, 40-year-old Heather Hall, pleaded guilty to similar charges earlier the same year. Police say the thefts occurred over a one-year period ending early in 2007. Hall worked as a privately-employed caregiver for the 53-year-old stroke victim. She was responsible for his physical well-being and, with power of attorney, she also managed his finances. She and Pallante lived in an apartment on the second floor of the man’s home, on South Main Street in Hatfield. Both were found guilty of depositing checks from his account into their own personal accounts.
