Man With Fugitive Traveler’s Bag Found Guilty
A Montgomery County judge has found a man with New York ties guilty of possessing guns, drugs and illegal body armor in Towamencin Township.
30-year-old William Bowie was arrested last June at the Forge Gate Apartments. Prosecutors say he had a fugitive traveler’s bag with two guns, ammunition, military-issue smoke and signal flares and marijuana, and a police-grade bulletproof vest hanging in a closet. His arrest resulted from an investigation by New York City Police into a home-invasion robbery and shooting that happened early last year. They tracked him down by following his activity on a social networking website. He remains in Montgomery County Prison without bail pending sentencing.
