U Merion Man Charged In Deaths Of Parents, Brother
A Montgomery County man is accused of stabbing and killing his mother, father and twin brother.
23-year-old Joseph McAndrew Junior of Upper Merion is charged with first degree murder in the deaths of 70-year-old Joseph McAndrew, 64-year-old Susan McAndrew and 23-year-old James McAndrew. Police say they were found dead with multiple cuts and abrasions in their home on Holstein Road in the Gulph Mills section of the township. Police recovered several knives and a Samurai-style sword. Police found the bodies in the kitchen at about 7:00pm on Saturday. Joseph McAndrew’s pants and shoes were covered with blood, and bloody footprints were consistent with the shoes he was wearing. When police asked why he did it he allegedly said, “Extermination.”
