Serial Burglar Pleads Guilty

montco_courthouseA Towamencin man has admitted committing more than 40 burglaries. They occurred around Montgomery County between July and December of 2008.  34-year-old Christopher Homoney pleaded guilty to felony burglary.  Court documents say he broke into homes in Abington, East Norriton, Montgomery, Upper Dublin, Upper Providence and West Norriton Townships, as well as Bridgeport, Collegeville and Lansdale Boroughs.  The burglaries were committed during the daytime at apartment and townhouse complexes, where he forced his way in.  He was arrested in December of 2008 after police, acting on a tip, set up surveillance at the Whitpain Hills Development off Route 73 in Whitpain Township and saw him leaving a home where he had been staying.  Police spotted his car there after a witness to a burglary at the Crystal Terrace Apartments in Lansdale provided a description.
