NY Man Charged In Rt 309 Fatality

wnpv_police_beatA truck driver from New York City faces criminal charges stemming from Thursday’s fatal collision on Route 309 In Hatfield Township. 42-year-old Ernest Cohens of the Bronx is charged with causing an accident involving death and driving while his license was suspended.  Court documents say the collision occurred at about 6:00am Thursday while he was trying to make a u-turn with his tractor-trailer on Route 309 southbound at Sterling Drive after missing a right turn for a delivery.  His truck collided with a motorcycle driven by 55-year-old Terry Kriebel of Sellersville, who was killed.  Witnesses say he got out, looked at the body, and then got back in his truck and drove away.  He told police he got scared.  Hilltown Police found him and the truck about 40 minutes later on Swartley Road, a very short distance away.
