Burglary Arrests In Towamencin
Two men are accused of burglarizing a home on Old Forty Foot Road in Towamencin Township.
Police say they received a call Tuesday afternoon from a resident who saw them at a neighbor’s home. When they arrived police found a smashed rear window. Witnesses told them one man drove away in a Ford F-150 pickup truck and the other one fled on foot into Evansburg State Park. Towamencin Police stopped the truck on Kerr Road and arrested the driver, 46-year-old Richard Beto. Pennsylvania State Police and several local departments joined the search for the other man, and they caught 45-year-old Donald Carty in a wooded area bounded by Evansburg Road, Skippack Pike and the Skippack Creek. Both men are from Pottstown, and they are charged with burglary and related offenses.
