A New Britain man is accused of stealing jewelry from a neighbor’s home and selling it for nearly $1,000.
23-year-old Stephen Griffin is charged with felony burglary and other offenses. Court documents say police believe he saw his neighbors use a key they kept hidden outdoors, and he used it to get indoors shortly after they left for work. He lives on evergreen drive, four doors away from the victims. A Warrington jewelry store, Henry’s Gems, gave police a receipt from the day of the late-October burglary showing his name and address. Police are investigating a series of home burglaries in neighboring Warrington and Doylestown Townships, but they are not saying whether they consider griffin a suspect.
