Two men have admitted leaving children alone in cars while they gambled at Parx Casino in Bensalem. 34-year-old Paul Vargas of Bensalem and 60-year-old Alexander Salter of Trenton, New Jersey pleaded guilty to reduced charges of disorderly conduct Monday afternoon in Bucks County Court.  They were initially charged with endangering the welfare of children in the incidents, which occurred over the summer.  Court documents say Vargas left a seven-year-old, a twelve-year-old and a puppy in the parking lot while he went inside and played blackjack.  Salter left his 12-year-old grandson in his sport-utility vehicle while he played the slots.  Salter was sentenced to probation and community service, possibly at Parx helping to keep other adults from leaving children in the parking lot.  Vargas gets about five months in county prison because he was driving while his license was suspended with a small amount of alcohol in his blood, and he had an unrelated drug possession charge.  He was also ordered to complete a parenting class.  The judge told him he is in dire need of learning how to raise kids in this day and age.
