ATM Card Thefts
The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office is looking for members of a suspected ATM card theft ring operating in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.
Attorney General Tom Corbett says at least three people have been photographed using stolen cards to get cash from machines in convenience stores and other locations, mainly in the Norristown and Bensalem areas. He says it appears that the thieves are getting ATM card data, including “pin” identification numbers, and making duplicate cards. The Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation is asking the public for help in identifying the thieves.
