Woman Charged In Alleged Cancer Fundraising Fraud

wnpv_police_beatA Willow Grove woman is accused of fraudulently raising more than $20,000 by claiming she needed it for breast and ovarian cancer treatment. She did not have the disease.  26-year-old Alicia Tolton is charged with theft and fraud.  Upper Moreland Township Police Chief Thomas Nestel says she routinely shaved her head to look like she was having chemotherapy, and she forged receipts from the Fox Chase Cancer Center for nonexistent treatments.  He says the only medical condition she ever had was the one that took away her conscience.
