Fatal Fire In Hilltown

fireTwo people were found dead Monday after a fire in Bucks County. The bodies were found in a home on Middle Road between Fretz and Bypass Roads in Hilltown Township, where the fire broke out shortly before 9:00am.  Public records show that 83-year-old James Belancourt owned the home for nearly 50 years.  He and 74-year-old Katherine Miller died.  Firefighters had difficulty getting into the house because it was filled with all sorts of things stacked to the ceilings.  Miller’s 53-year-old son, Ed Miller, escaped by pushing an air conditioner out of a second-floor window and climbing down a ladder.  The cause is under investigation, but the fire apparently started in a small outdoor patio area and spread into the kitchen.  It is not considered suspicious.
