Second Man Gets Jail Time For Bucks Co Sports League Thefts
A second man who admitted stealing from the Warrington-Warwick Athletic Association is going to jail.
50-year-old Stephen Feeley of Warwick pleaded guilty to stealing more than $97,000 from the Boys’ Basketball League while he was treasurer, and a judge has given him 10 to 23 months in Bucks County Prison, followed by three years on probation. He must also do 200 hours of community service, and he is barred from handling money for any nonprofit organization. 59-year-old accountant Joseph Anderson of Warrington pleaded guilty earlier this week to stealing more than $70,000 from the Warrington-Warwick Girls’ Basketball League while serving as president and treasurer. The total amount stolen from both leagues over a four-year period was about $159,000. The leagues are affiliated, but operated separately with different bank accounts, and there is no evidence that either man knew about the other man’s crimes.
