Counterfeit Cash Gets City Man Arrested In Towamencin
A Philadelphia man is accused of passing counterfeit money at two Towamencin Township businesses early Sunday morning.
22-year-old Shiheem Amos is charged with forgery, theft, driving under the influence and other offenses. Police say he used a phony hundred-dollar bill to pay for a small purchase at the Wawa store at Forty Foot Road and Sumneytown Pike, and did the same thing a short time later at the Via Marconi Pizza Pub in the Towamencin Shopping Village, where police got a description of the vehicle he was driving. They saw the vehicle and arrested him on Forty Foot Road, not far from the Wawa.
