City Man Gets Long Prison Term In Drug-Related Montco Murder
A Philadelphia man convicted of killing a Norristown man late last year during an alleged drug deal has been given 28 1/2 to 57 years in state prison.
A Montgomery County jury found 22-year-old Ryan Starling (pictured here) guilty of third degree murder and other offenses earlier this summer in the death of 26-year-old Lawrence Stevenson, who was gunned down three days before Christmas outside the Curren Terrace Apartments on New Hope Street in Norristown. Assistant District Attorney Wallis Brooks said Starling came up from Philadelphia to rob Stevenson of money and crack cocaine and shot the unarmed man twice in the back while he was running away.
