Accused Rapist Heading For Trial
A man accused of luring an aspiring model to a photo shoot, then raping her, goes on trial next week in Montgomery County Court.
36-year-old Daimon Parrish of the Rosemont section of Lower Merion Township is charged with rape and other offenses. The 20-year-old victim is a Wyncote woman who said she communicated with Parrish over the internet, and then met him at a Jenkintown restaurant to schedule the photo session. Last December she took a train to the Bryn Mawr Station, where she said he met her and drove her to a King of Prussia chiropractor’s office, where he took pictures and assaulted her before driving her back to Jenkintown. Police say he used to work at the chiropractor’s office as a massage therapist, but he did not have permission to be in the building. Prosecutors have filed court documents saying he has a history of indecent exposure at libraries, pools and art classes, and he kept a computer journal where he wrote about previous episodes in great detail, referring to his behavior as a game or show. The defense will probably call it a case of “he said, she said,” and question the woman’s credibility.
