Tasered Teen Gets Probation
The teenager who was shot with a taser stun gun after running onto the Citizens Bank Park outfield during an early May Phillies game has been given six months probation.
17-year-old Steve Consalvi must also complete 80 hours of community service, working in city soup kitchens. He lives with his mother in the Upper Montgomery County community of Gilbertsville. His father, Wayne Consalvi of West Pottsgrove, said at the time his son called on his cell phone and asked if he could run onto the field. The father said he recommended against running onto the field but, at the same time, he did not think Philadelphia Police should have tasered him. His mother, Amy Ziegler, apologized publicly for her son’s behavior.
