Authorities have identified the intruder who was shot and killed last week at a home on Hancock Road near North Wales Road in Upper Gwynedd.
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman says he was 22-year-old Kieme Persons of Capitol Heights, Maryland. County Coroner Walter Hofman says he was shot several times from different directions, and investigators say more than 20 shots were fired from at least three guns. Police say Persons was one of five men who hid outside and ambushed 31-year-old Jermaine Edwards and his wife Jolene in their driveway Wednesday night, June 9, and forced them into the house at gunpoint. Once they were inside a gunfight broke out, leaving Edwards hospitalized in critical condition. Ferman says Edwards was clearly the target of the attack. The other intruders got away, and Jolene Edwards and her three daughters were not injured.
