2 Face Trial For Del Val Fight
Two Delaware Valley College students have been ordered to stand trial on criminal charges resulting from a snowball fight that escalated into a beating.
Adrese Hicks and Ode Evans, both 20 years old, are charged with assault. Hicks was a defensive back on the college football team. Doylestown Township Police say the incident happened one night in February, when a group of male students started throwing ice-hardened snowballs at female students who were looking for a cell phone in the snow. Sophomore Anthony Savarese, who was a running back on the football team, told police he was tackled from behind and kicked and punched when he asked them to stop. He was treated at Doylestown Hospital for a fractured rib and other injuries, including a concussion. His girlfriend, freshman Caitlin Lockhead, was treated for a concussion.
