Welsh Road Corridor Rezoning Discussed in Towamencin

More than two dozen Towamencin residents turned out for a Township Planning Commission meeting Monday night to learn more about proposed zoning changes in the Welsh Road Corridor between the Main Street Apartments and Grist Mill Road.   It is currently primarily residential but officials might allow more office uses there hoping to encourage higher standards of property maintenance.   Township officials say they have no timetable for putting the proposed zoning changes into place and there will be at least one more opportunity for residents to comment.   The Planning Commission won't make the final decison about the issue but it will pass a recommendation onto the Township Board of Supervisors.
