New Electric Supplier Contract Approved in Lansdale

Lansdale Borough Council has approved a new contract with its power supplier.   The borough buys electricity in bulk for resale to its residents and the agreement with American Municipal Power will stabilize rates over the life of the five year deal.   Borough Council also took action Wednesday night to simplify the electric rate structure.   Bills will be easier to understand and should reassure residential, commercial and industrial customers that they are being charged in the same way as everyone else in their rate class.
 

Ex Graterford Chaplain Suing State

A Catholic priest who worked for nearly ten years as a chaplain at Graterford State Prison is suing the state in federal court, saying it defamed him and wrongfully fired him.
