Farm Conference Friday
Farmland Preservation Administrator Elizabeth Emlen says county farmers raise $30 million worth of products every year, and it’s good for the local economy.
“Anybody who buys a farm product is probably keeping the money local as opposed to buying Coca Cola or something, which benefits people in another part of the country, so it’s a big business in Montgomery County and it’s a big local business.”
Emlen says people who attend the conference will share ideas and information and have a chance to do some networking.
The Conference on Sustaining Farming for the Future runs from 8:00am until 3:30pm at the Kulpsville Holiday Inn. It’s free, but space is limited and pre-registration is required.
