Chem-Fab Site Cleanup Planned
The site on Broad Street in Doylestown was once home to Chem-Fab, a company that did electroplating and metal etching in the 1960’s and 70’s.
The soil is contaminated with the now-banned solvent TCE and other chemicals.
The EPA estimates the cleanup cost at $2.25 million, but it has not set a starting date because the money is not available. Borough officials are asking Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick to see if he can help shake the money loose.
