Cleanup Could Resume At Chem-Fab Site

Cleanup efforts could resume soon at an old Bucks County industrial site that has been contaminated for decades. The site on Broad Street in Doylestown was once home to Chem-Fab, a company that did electroplating and metal etching.

The soil and groundwater are contaminated with the now-banned solvent TCE and other chemicals.  The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates the cleanup cost at $2.25 million, and it will hold a public meeting July 10 at Doylestown Borough Hall to present the plans.
