New Police Officer in Montgomeryville

There's a new face on the Montgomery Township Police Department.   Police recruit Jake Beebe was sworn-in Monday night during a brief ceremony at a meeting of the township supervisors.   He fills the open spot in the department created by the retirement of Lieutenant Mark Houghtaling and will earn about $60,000 a year in his new position.   Beebe says he has known since middle school that life would lead him into a career in law enforcement.   With him on board, the Montgomery Township Police Department now has a full roster of 36 officers.
