Street trees in downtown Lansdale could start returning as soon as this week. The latest streetscape update on the borough website says a contractor will start planting within days, weather permitting, along Main, Broad, Wood, Walnut and Madison Streets.  The new trees will remain dormant for the winter, and then come to life in the spring.  They should have longer and healthier lives than the old ones that were cut down.  (Picture taken just days after they were cut down)
