Part Of Morris Rd Closing For Bridge Repairs
PennDot says Morris Road is closing, between Lafayette Avenue and Butler Pike in Whitemarsh and Upper Dublin Townships, on Thursday, November 3. During the closing, which should last for about seven weeks, crews will repair structural damage done to a bridge over the Wissahickon Creek during the late summer tropical storms. The stone and masonry arch bridge, next to the Germantown Academy campus, is 107 feet long and 25 feet wide. It was originally built in 1841, and it was rebuilt in 1996.
