Montco Contractor Expanding Business To New Site
A local full-service home improvement contractor is expanding to a second site, in the old Safeguard Building on Church Road in Upper Gwynedd. Volpe Enterprises President Gary Volpe says he is very fortunate to be growing at a time when many businesses are struggling. He says there are a couple of reasons, but it’s largely because he keeps on advertising.
“You have to advertise even when things are slow. People have to know that you’re around. Some good things have happened to us too. Because we’ve expanded we’re able to attract some other people that we would not have attracted before from contractor type businesses that went out of business. Those people come and work for us. They are quality craftsmen that maybe had a one or two-man business and it just didn’t work out for them, so right now we have some of the best, most qualified crews we have had in 41 years.”
Volpe says the building will have a stucco front, and they will raise the roofline 14 feet and put new shingles on it. He says they will have both indoor and outdoor showrooms, displaying their work, and the six-thousand-square-foot indoor showroom will feature two complete bathrooms and three complete kitchens. Look for an early fall opening.
