Bear Captured In Montco

The Pennsylvania Game Commission captured a black bear early Monday in Upper Montgomery County. It was first spotted Sunday night raiding bird feeders on Pinehurst Way in Douglass Township, North of Gilbertsville.  Police followed the bear around town until it climbed a tree on Municipal Drive near the township highway building.  They called a game commission officer, who brought out a crew that tranquilized the bear and re-located it to a rural area in North Central Pennsylvania.  It was about three years old and 200 pounds, and it appeared to be healthy.
