The Upper Dublin Township Commissioners are considering a zoning amendment allowing a gas station and convenience store in the Fort Washington Business Park. Current zoning does not allow free-standing stores or gas stations.  Once the zoning change is approved, possibly as soon as next month, Wawa would build a store with 16 gas pumps on Virginia Drive, next to the slip-ramp interchange with the Pennsylvania Turnpike.  A public hearing on the amendment is set for May 10.
