Ex Montco Official Dies While On Work-Release
A former Montgomery County Public Safety Training Director, jailed for stealing training funds, died Thursday while on a work-release assignment in King of Prussia.
55-year-old Robert Linsinbigler of East Norriton apparently had a heart attack. He was serving ten months in county prison. He said he took the money, totaling nearly $170,000, to pay bills and support his alcohol habit. He told the court he started doing stupid things when he was drinking heavily. He ran the Public Safety Training Academy in Plymouth Township from 1986 until the county commissioners fired him early in 2009.
