Volunteer Spirit Honored in Towamencin

TowamencinTowamencin officials have put the spotlight on a favorite son of the township.   Former Fire Chief Butch Clemens was recognized Wednesday night for more than six decades of community service.   His resume also includes township supervisor and former president of Hatfield Quality Meats.   Township officials are honoring Clemens by naming a new park after him.   He says the ballfields in the works near Forty Foot and Allentown Roads will benefit the youth of the township.   Towamencin officials will start work on the ballfields this spring and they should be playable next year.
