J And J Recalls More Products From Ft Washington Plant

tylenolJohnson and Johnson has recalled nearly 47 million more packages of products made at its McNeil Consumer Healthcare Fort Washington Plant, even though the company closed it last spring. The latest recall is for certain lots of Tylenol, Benadryl and Sudafed.  J and J recalled Liquid Children’s Tylenol, Motrin, Benadryl and other products in April, after the Food and Drug Administration found bacteria and other contaminants in raw ingredients used to make them.  The company says a recently-completed review of the Fort Washington plant, going back as far as 2007, found that certain manufacturing standards and labeling requirements had not been followed.   The company says the plant is getting a major overhaul, it will not re-open until late this year, and laid-off employees who are re-hired will get new training.
