A New Care And Share Store Has Opened
“The clothing, the handbags, the shoes, are 75 cents apiece. The housewares are 75 percent off the ticketed price or what they’re marked with a clearance sticker, so the items in there are very, very reasonable, and people have been so excited to come in there, especially people that couldn’t afford our other shoppes.”
She says they have more than 800 volunteers working at their five Souderton stores, and they do a wonderful job.
“They do everything from running the cash register to re-stocking the sales floor, making furniture pickups and deliveries, packing items for eBay, all sorts of things. We love our volunteers.”
Bergin says they get their largest numbers through church connections, but some are customers who also do volunteer work. She also reminds shoppers that the Care and Share Thrift Shoppes have a sale this Friday, November 19, where they take an extra 50 percent off the price of most items. She appeared Monday on the WNPV talk program “Indian Valley Live.”
