Plymouth Community Ambulance has become the first squad in Montgomery County to have a bariatric ambulance, which is built to carry obese patients. Bariatric is a medical term for treatment of obesity.  It has a ramp system with a winch, and it can carry patients weighing up to 1,600 pounds, compared to a conventional ambulance which has a weight limit of 500 pounds.  Plymouth Community Ambulance will make it available to other squads in the county as needed.
