Business Networking Group Keeps Growing
Indian Valley Business Networking Group President Craig Wiggins says the group has grown to about 70 members since it was founded two years ago, and it keeps on growing.
He says a Collegeville area woman founded the first one in Montgomery County about five years ago.“She started the Collegeville Business Networking Group that sought to be more relational in its approach to networking. People come together every week and hang out together and have a meal together and certainly network, do the 30-second commercials and presentations and so on, but the business grows out of the relationships. The idea’s caught on and it’s become very popular, and there are now six different business networking groups all the way from Collegeville up to Quakertown.”
Wiggins says people were telling her other groups were too expensive, or the many rules they had took the fun out of it, so she founded that business networking group and others followed her example.
