Abington Health Makes Employee Flu Shots Mandatory
Abington Health System is offering employees a choice of getting flu shots or getting fired.
The health system, which includes Abington Memorial and Lansdale Hospitals and a few outpatient clinics, is the first Montgomery County hospital making flu shots mandatory. Chief of Staff Doctor David Kelly says more than 8,000 employees, medical students and outside vendors have until November 15 to get the shots. They can get exemptions for valid medical or religious reasons.
