Numberless Regional Rail System Working Well

septa_trainSEPTA Customer Advocacy Officer Susan Dannenberg says regular riders are telling her they like the new Regional Rail route designations without the “R” numbers. She says the Lansdale-Doylestown Line’s name has not changed, and the opposite end is still the Paoli-Malvern Line, but the R5 number has been dropped from both.  She says the new timetables are also more user-friendly.

“On the new timetables the line name is featured prominently at the top of the schedule.  Below that all of the stations on the line appear right on the front cover so you can quickly confirm you have the right schedule without even opening it.”

Dannenberg says all too often they had visitors thinking they were going to Lansdale who ended up in Paoli, and moving the complete list of stations from the back of the timetable to the front should save a few seconds for riders who are in a hurry.  She appeared Thursday on the monthly Transportation Edition of the WNPV talk program Comment Please by Univest.
