Construction Forces Diner Closing
The owners of the Clubhouse Too Diner in Upper Gwynedd say they are closing for a few months because business has been way down since Phase Two of the Sumneytown Pike Widening Project started.
Crews are working on a freight railroad bridge next to the diner (pictured here), as well as the road, widening the underpass from two lanes to four. Township Solicitor Bob Kerns says it’s a shame that one of his favorite restaurants has to close, but progress has its price.”unfortunately, when you want public improvements some of these things happen.”
He says the owners plan a grand re-opening when construction is finished late this year.
