Laurel House Benefits From Thrift Shop
It’s in the Pennwood Plaza on North Broad Street in Hatfield Township. Development and Community Relations Director Tina Reynolds says the agency started more than 32 years ago as an emergency shelter for women who had to escape from an abusive relationship, and that is still part of Laurel House, but it has become much more.
“We also have children’s programs, as well as transitional housing. We also do crisis intervention with the police and the ERs”
Reynolds says proceeds from sales at the store, known as “Laurel’s Loft,” benefit Laurel House programs. She appeared Monday on the WNPV talk program “Buxmont Live.”
