District officials told parents yesterday that a strike may happen, although teachers voted against it, the union says if the school board does not agree on arbitration the union may be forced to vote on a strike again. The board wants a first-year salary freeze and a 1.48 percent average raise over four years, the unions wants a five-year deal with an average 2.47 percent salary increase.
