The new course for the Univest Bike Race was unveiled this week. Instead of a 60 mile tour of Western Montgomery County the Grand Prix course will be a figure-eight and remain in Souderton and Telford Boroughs and Franconia Township. Race Promoter John Eustice says the race will be reduced from one-hundred to eighty-three miles...

"...The coures is so hard I can't make it a hundred mile race, it's just too hard... and i'm thinking 2011 might be a bit shorter."

Eustice says the new course should be more spectator friendly. The Saturday race in the Indian Valley will be September 11th and the following day's race in Doylestown will remain unchanged.
