Fischer’s Park Improvements Delayed
The Towamencin Township Supervisors have rejected the low bids for improvements at Fischer’s Park (pictured here in winter) because they were too high.
They came in at more than $854,000, but the budget is only $802,000.
They were hoping to start construction in the late summer or early fall, but now they will probably re-bid the project in the fall and start construction in the spring. The improvements include a new entry plaza and walkway, two bocce courts, restrooms and lighting.
