The National Park Service has named a new superintendent for Valley Forge National Historical Park. Kate Hammond starts her new assignment in March, and she will also supervise the Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site in Chester and Berks Counties.  Hammond is currently superintendent at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Historic Site in Montana.  At Valley Forge she replaces Mike Caldwell, who is now Deputy Director of the National Park Service for the Northeast Region.
