Hatfield Gets Park Potty Grant
Hatfield Township is getting a state grant to help pay for improvements at School Road Park (pictured here), including a new restroom with flush toilets.
The park has been using portable potties for years. The money will also be used for rehabilitating a mile-long exercise trail, paving a rear parking lot and adding a new tot lot. The township must match the $138,000 Community Conservation Partnerships grant with local money, largely from a “flush fund” which includes fees from sports field rentals and park-related events.
