A popular Bucks County bridal shop that has been in business for nearly 40 years is going out of business. Anne Bailey’s Bridal Shop is at Route 313 and Ferry Road in Fountainville, where Doylestown, Plumstead and New Britain Townships come together.  At its peak the shop had more than 80 employees, and now it has fewer than ten.  It will close temporarily for Thanksgiving week, and then re-open with a Going out of Business Sale.  Anne Bailey’s daughter Gale says her mother, who is now 77 years old, has sold the property to a developer who will build a small shopping center called Bailey’s Corner, in Anne’s honor.  Anne Bailey says it’s time to retire and the closing should be a celebration, not a sad thing.
