The Montgomery County Commissioners have approved a ten-year extension of a contract with the state for the Norristown Farm Park. Under the contract, the county is leasing the property from the state for one dollar a year.  The 700-acre park, which includes a privately-operated working farm and a fish hatchery, stretches through parts of Norristown, East Norriton and West Norriton.  It’s bounded roughly by Germantown Pike, Whitehall Road and Stanbridge and Sterigere Streets.
