Towamencin officials want their own residents, as well as neighbors in nearby communities, to take full Advantage of the pool complex on Weikel Road this summer. For the second year in a row, they are offering a program that gives non-member swimmers half-price admission after 5:00pm.  Township Manager Rob Ford says the idea is to bring in people who may not want a membership.

“Some folks don’t have the time.  They’re not going to go every day or every week, and the pool closes at eight o’clock.  They might come home from work and want to go to the pool.  It’s a chance to get them to come in, and maybe they’ll try the pool membership the following year.”

Swimming season starts on Memorial Day Weekend, and there is no increase in membership rates this year.
