Bensalem Township Council has approved expansion plans for the Parx Casino. Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment will add nearly 90,000 square feet to the back of the casino building, on the opposite side from the main entrance on Street Road.  Parx has more than 3,500 slot machines and 57 table games, and company officials say they hope to add poker tables and certain Asian games as soon as this fall.  They are also seeking Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approval for table games in the grandstands at the adjoining Philadelphia Park racetrack and, at the township’s request, they are adding turning lanes at side entrances on Mechanicsville and Richlieu Roads.
